Large Cobalt Blue UK Size R

£64.95

This striking ring features a rare piece of cobalt blue Cornish sea glass, hand-collected from the beaches and coves of Cornwall and set in solid recycled sterling silver. The deep, oceanic blue catches the light beautifully — a colour once found in vintage medicine and perfume bottles, now transformed by decades in the sea into a coastal gem.

Cobalt sea glass is among the rarest to find and is highly sought after. Because blue glass was historically expensive to produce only small quantities were made and ever entered the ocean making each discovery a treasure. Smoothed and frosted by time, waves, and sand, every piece carries its own story of the sea — shaped by nature and finished by hand.

The setting has been handcrafted in 100% recycled sterling and fine silver specifically for this piece, and sits on a 2mm round band. The style is perfect to be worn on its own or mix it with other silver or gold bands in a personalised stack. It is finished with my makers’ mark of three waves, a tribute to the Cornish coastline that inspires every piece I create.

Your ring will arrive in a recycled gift box, complete with:

  • A map showing where the sea glass was found

  • A non-toxic microfibre polishing cloth

Once known as “Mermaids’ Tears,” sea glass was believed to be formed from the sorrow of mermaids mourning lost sailors. Today, it stands as a symbol of transformation, strength, and renewal — beauty born from the power of the sea.

All my jewellery is made using only genuine sea glass, never imitation or artificially tumbled glass. Each gem bears the crescent-shaped markings and soft glow that only decades in the ocean can create.

Photographed in natural daylight, colours may vary slightly depending on your screen, but the glass’s deep cobalt hue truly comes alive when it catches the light — a rare and timeless piece of Cornwall’s coastal magic.
