When crafting my pieces I only use shells I have found myself empty on the tideline as it is the only way I can be sure of their origin and ensure no animal has died just for its shell. After working for many years in marine conservation I am acutely aware of the damage being done to our environment and ecosystems by the global trade in wildlife.
